For this piece, I knew I wanted the background paint to really pop. I went with a silver acrylic paint to resemble a mirror, hence the title ‘reflections’. Once all additional colors were added to the painting, I noticed when tipping at the canvas at different angles, this allowed individual colors to come in to focus. My personal favorite color to stand out is the nude. Enjoy!

When I first painted the metallic zig zag blue pattern behind the lines, I did not have the intention to have the paint drip down. But I let it be and loved the way it looked, so I let it ride! This metallic paint persuaded me to go with a blue color schemed art piece. Tilt the canvas to allow specific colors to come in to focus. Enjoy!

I had this vision that this piece would appear somewhat spacey or dreamy… I started with a white cloud in the center of the canvas which allowed the lines on top to really pop. Using three shades of orange, and adding white speckles in the background made Orange Dreamsicle come to life. This is hands down, one of my favorite pieces. Enjoy!

What a fun piece this was! Using a larger size brush allowed me to create thick strokes of a slimy green color. Letting the canvas stand one way to allow the color to drip, then flipping it upside down to allow the other side to drip resulted in the slimy effect. A variety of pink lines were added to allow each stroke to pop in color. Enjoy!

My first color shift piece! The color shifting paint background was very interesting to work with. The consistency was quite different than what I am used to but I was willing to take on the challenge. Depending on the angle one views the canvas, the color shift background will either appear gold or purple. Vibrant pops of yellow, blue and orange were added above for a strong contrast of color. The slight color shift metallic blue background definitely set the tone for this piece. I wanted this to be a piece that stood out, yet one that was also relaxing. Having the base line as a dark blue shade with two other completely different colors on top allowed that to come to life. With a silver speckled background, the vibes come to life. Enjoy!

Ah, the outlier of all my other pieces! Busy streets is definitely busy. My goal was to create and piece that had a variety of shapes and colors to allow the mind to wander of what the art piece means. To me, the horizontal light green paint stroke with ‘green windows’ and ‘orange wheels’ laid on top made this piece appear as if a bullet train was going through an abstract world of wonder. This piece is one of my favorites by far! I wanted to feature two bright and vibrant colors that would allow the cotton candy aesthetic come to life. What makes this piece pop even more is the silver foil carefully placed throughout the center of the canvas. This process took several hours as the foil is not laid flat on the canvas but rather tiny pieces of foil is scrunched up into smaller pieces, and then individually placed on, allowing it to protrude from the canvas for that 3D effect. White speckled paint is splattered in the back to bring everything together. Enjoy!

This piece consists of two earthy painted tones. As these colors intertwine, silver and black leaf foils fill the spaces in between in a 3D manner, allowing the slight illusion of crystals or geodes coming through the piece. White speckled paint is added throughout the background to bring the look together. Enjoy!

Spilled Wine was my first canvas piece ever! This first piece was filled with so much excitement. Starting with white strokes of paint on the edge of the canvas, I wanted to make sure that all sets of white strokes would go either above or below the pink or orange lines to create layers of depth. Touches of gold were added to each corner for a bit more detail. Once the piece was completed, I couldn’t help but notice the unintentional orange croissant at the bottom left of the painting! This is probably my favorite part of the whole thing. Enjoy!

This piece to me appears as if the lines are moving across the canvas from left to right. The mixture of blue and white spoke to me as a cloud or air, floating through a black space. Tipping the canvas at different angles will allow the pop of gold to come alive. Enjoy!

There is something very peaceful to me about this piece. The way that all colors are so different from each other, yet flow so well when combined. To really pull everything together, I went with some gold foil placed only in the center of the canvas to allow all parts to focus and join as one. Enjoy!

Sanctuary is such a special piece to me! Blues and oranges are my two favorite types of color, so I thought, why not combine them onto one canvas?! With the oranges surrounding the edges of the canvas, it created a central point for the blue to stand out. Pops of gold foil was added to the left and right corners of the piece, with more between the blue lines as the heart of the canvas. Gold butterfly charms were the last addition for that warm, safe, sanctuary feel. Enjoy!
